Running SAT Trainer for your students

Go to sattrainer.speedlimit.ai and sign in with your tutor email and password. You'll land on Students — your home base for everything below.

Every student needs an account before they can sign in. You create it and hand them the password — nothing is emailed automatically.

1. Open Students

   It's the first tab in the top navigation, and also where you land right after signing in.

2. Fill in the Add a student form

   Name, email, and a password — you choose the password. Anything reasonably strong works; the student can't change it from within the app yet, so pick something you're comfortable sharing.

3. Click Create student

   They appear in your roster immediately and can sign in right away. Send them the URL, their email, and the password — text, email, in person, however you'd normally reach them.

Every question your students ever see — on the diagnostic or in practice — comes from your question bank. You grow it with the Generate questions with AI panel on the Question Bank page.

The generate form

Domain

One of the eight official SAT domains — four in Reading & Writing, four in Math.

Skill

The specific sub-skill within that domain, e.g. "Words in Context" or "Linear Equations in One Variable."

Difficulty

1–Easy, 2–Medium, or 3–Hard.

Count

How many questions to generate at once, up to 10.

Grid-in

Math domains only. Produces numeric-entry questions (no answer choices) instead of multiple choice, matching the real SAT's student-produced response format.

New questions always land in the Review queue as drafts. A student never sees a question until you move it to Approved — so a bad question is easy to catch before it reaches anyone.

• Approve — the question enters rotation for both the diagnostic and practice immediately.
• Retire — removes it from circulation without deleting it. A retired question can be restored to drafts later.

Click View next to any student on your roster for their full picture: estimated scores, proficiency by domain, weakest skills, and recent activity.

Green is 75% and above, amber is 50–74%, red is below 50% — the same colors students see on their own dashboard, so a quick glance at either view tells the same story.

On a student's detail page, the Assignments panel lets you point them at a specific domain directly, instead of relying on their dashboard's automatic recommendation.

1. Pick a domain and a question count

   Choose from the same eight domains you generate questions for.

2. Click Assign

   It appears on the student's assignment list right away, marked open until it's completed.
